Masia Massanés is a 15th-century house located next to a lookout tower, surrounded by 65 hectares of forest. Historically a farmhouse on a crop and livestock farm, it was converted into rural tourism accommodation a few decades ago. It is rented by the room and features five cosy rustic-style bedrooms with own bathroom. It also has a fully-equipped kitchen and a lounge as communal areas. The establishment also has a restaurant.
The house is located in the large municipality of La Baronia de Rialb - an area that retains a great architectural legacy from the 11th and 12th centuries. Featuring rugged terrain, it is a region of Mediterranean forests and crop fields that follow the course of the river. Activities in the area include water sports such as canyoning and canoeing, and also mountain biking, walking and climbing.
