In the village of Almenar, north of Segrià (Lleida), is the farmhouse La Torre de la Bassanova. This is a rural house which, like all those in the municipal area, is nestled among farmland and small hills. It sleeps six people and has three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a fireplace.
In the village guests can visit the remains of the tower of Santa Maria d'Almenar, an old building with a restored façade, or El Clot de la Unilla, the last endorheic lake of any great size and possibly the best preserved in Catalonia. It is located between the towns of Alguaire and Almenar, on a vast plateau of gentle reliefs dedicated to the cultivation of non-irrigated cereals.
