Caves of Espluga will open the doors of our prehistoric past of humanity and encourage you to visit the various human communities that lived in the same place for thousands of years.
Come visit them: you shall be both spectators and players of their activities, their feelings, their life and our evolution as humans, from the Paleolithic to the Iberian world.
An archaeologist and a virtual guide will accompany you throughout the visit, where the cave is present in its most natural and real.
600 metre route through the subterranean caves to learn about geological formation and human evolution.
Price includes a guided visit to the Caves of Espluga Museum at a date and time of the visitor's choosing.
The visit lasts for 75 minutes.
The meeting point is the reception area of the L'Espluga Caves (Av. Catalunya, s/n), Espluga de Francolí.
The semi-guided visit is available in Catalan. An audio guide is available in Spanish, English, French and Russian.
Opening Times: Tuesday to Sunday 10:30h - 13:30h and 16:00h - 18:00h. July and August - Open every day 10:30h - 13:30h and 16:00h - 19:00h. Closed December 24th, 25th, 26th and January 1st, 6th.

The visit is accessible to wheelchairs and prams. Unfortunately we do not have services for people with sight or hearing difficulties. This visit is not recommended for those who suffer from claustrophobia.
Neither photography nor filming are allowed during the visit.
Temperature in the caves varies between 14° and 17° C and humidity is over 90%. This means that in winter the temperature is very comfortable. In summer we recommend a jacket, especially for children and the elderly. Normal footwear and clothing is suitable in general.
