Over time, the people of El Muig have lived from their land and livestock. In 2001 the current owners decided to refurbish the buildings and turn the estate into a comfortable and rural quality accommodation. El Muig covers a total of 53 hectares of meadows and woods, where mares and sheep are grazing. In the hollows you can occasionally see wild goats and wild boars. The property is crossed by a stream with an irregular flow that feeds the Gorga de Muig and various sources.
The property has three separate apartments, which originally performed their own functions. La Balconada was the residence of the estate owners and occupies the first floor of the house; El Graner is the old barn and granary and, finally, La Cort is the old dairy farm that also included the stable functions. All of them boast outdoor spaces to enjoy the views of the meadows and feature a rustic décor, which is highly consistent with the exterior and interior exposed stone walls, as well as the wooden windows with thick frames.
