Today, many people say the Terra Alta is the Catalan Tuscany. A territory that exalts the essence of Mediterranean landscapes, its people and the quality of its oil and wine. In the same way that light in this area Italian inspired geniuses like Leonardo da Vinci or Michelangelo, landscapes, mountains rounded light of Terra Alta also attracted artists such as Pablo Picasso. Terra Alta is now one of the most pristine of Catalonia, with great potential cultural, natural and gastronomic. Several wineries cooperative modernist buildings were designed in the 20th century by the Catalan architect Cesar Martinell, who was a student of Antoni Gaudí. These include the famous Pinell de Brai, near the town of Waldo.
DO "Terra Alta" was recognized provisionally in 1972. Along with Alella Conca de Barbera, Emporda, Penedès, Priorat and Tarragona, and is one of the seven denominations of origin historical Catalonia. Route 2: Ecological Culture: Wine and space of the Battle of the Ebro
The route "Ecological Culture" is a visit to two wineries with significant contrasts, located in Gandesa and Corbera d'Ebre, but both produce wines of great character following the guidelines of organic farming also taking advantage of us displacing Corbera d'Ebre also learn some of the most important events during the Battle of the Ebro.

10:00 to 10: 15h. Visitor reception at the Hotel Modern New Villalba dels Arcs. Brief introduction to Terra Alta and the route to perform.
10:15 to 10: 30h. Moving to the first cellar.
10:30 to 12:00. Front. Guided tour of the vineyards and the cellar. Tasting of wines.
12:00 to 12: 30h. Moving to Corbera d'Ebre to visit the cellar below.
12:30 to 13: 15h. Front. Guided tour of the winery.
13:15 to 13: 30h. Moving to a height of 402 (POI historic Battle of the Ebro. Command of the International Brigades where you can see trenches and shelters recovered).
13:30 to 14: 30h. Wine tasting at level 402.
