Visits to the cooperative allow the general public to get to know the whole oil production process thanks to these guided tours. Visitors are taken on a tour of the various places where olives are received, stored and milled, as well as how they are processed by the old “trujales” or presses still used today. The person conducting the tour gives visitors a detailed education on the world of olive oil.
The tour ends with a tasting session in which visitors can appreciate the first-rate quality of this extra virgin olive oil from 100% arbequina olives, which the cooperative packages in various formats from 25 cl to 5 litres. The town is surrounded by the estates where the olives are grown, although these are not covered by tours.
