The small town of Castelló de Farfanya has good reason to be proud of its olive oil. In fact, the limited production of the local cooperative is very quickly sold out. Its traditional facilities are only open during the olive season, in November and December, and only until supplies run out, which tends to be some time in January.
During this period, visitors are able to witness the work that goes into producing extra virgin olive oil in the traditional way with a stone mill and no centrifuge process. One of the members takes charge of giving explanations of the whole process and the functioning of the mill.
