Mas la Riera occupies an 18th-century farmhouse with a stone façade, situated in the countryside but very well connected. Its interior is dominated by warm tones, and the furniture and household appliances are modern. It has a lounge with fireplace and wooden ceiling, where guests can find a window that preserves the traditional wooers.
Garrotxa offers two different landscapes: the south is dominated by the gentle relief of the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa, which contrasts with the steep massifs of L'Alta Garrotxa in the north. The farmhouse is located in the southwest of the county, in Vall d'en Bas, a unique region which, due to its volcanism, is more typical of maritime valleys than mountain valleys. Hot air ballooning is highly recommended to enjoy this landscape of contrasts from a bird's eye view.
