One of the farmhouses is located in the country house and the other in the old masovería. The complex also features a number of other traditional buildings such as a stable, a barn, sheds and even the Romanesque chapel of Sant Vicenç de les Fontanelles, which dates back to 1172. Everything has a very rustic feel, with stone walls, arches and wooden beams on the ceilings.
Both houses, which can be rented together, share several areas, such as the artificial 10-million-litre lake, exterior porches and pool, as well as barbecue, attic disco, boules and table tennis. Grains, almonds, olives, vines, chickpeas and the famous Castellfollit del Boix beans are grown on the farm. Fontanellas also forms part of a hunting reserve of 1,200 hectares and fans of this activity are invited to participate in one of the three annual wild boar hunts.
