This medieval farmhouse in Batet de la Serra is located in a rural setting in the heart of the volcanic area of Garrotxa. The farm includes pasture areas, as the owners also breed all kinds of livestock: cows, rabbits, poultry and pigs. Facilities include a small riding school with horses. Mas Casamitjana is surrounded by beech, oak and chestnut woodland.
The 240-square-metre main house features five bedrooms and four bathrooms and can be rented for a minimum of six people. There is also a separate cottage dating from 1840 that was restored in 2013 and consists of three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both buildings have access to a barbecue area and picnic tables. The house is located in a very quiet environment. Highlights among available excursions include climbs to peaks such as Santa Magdalena, visits to the Montsacopa, Croscat and Santa Margarida volcanoes and trails through the beech forest of Fageda d'en Jordà.
