The Cala Jóncals hotel and restaurant in Roses were built in 1955, and have been run by the same family since 1969.
Nestling between the sea and the mountains, and surrounded by olive and pine groves, this establishment offers pure relaxation and a total disconnect: there is no mobile telephone coverage here. Designed by Elena Ruiz, the hotel offers rooms with a minimalist design along with authentic wooden bungalows in the gardens.
The outside areas include a garden area with lawn, pools and viewpoint. The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast, all meals, and a barbecue in the garden under the olive trees every Thursday. In the summer, there is a chiringuito or beach bar on the sand where guests can have lunch or dinner, or spend a pleasant evening in the chill-out area.
